Britannia

SIT owns some 559 hectares (1324.57 arpents) of land in the southern part of the island at Britannia. The block of land is ideally situated close to adjoining villages and is crossed by a major road connected to the southern highway.

Most of the land is currently under cane cultivation. The inherent attributes of the land and the favourable climatic conditions make it a perfect choice for an agricultural project. Being in a humid zone, no irrigation is required.

Other projects such as cattle farming, solar and wind energy farms can also be envisaged and are highly encouraged by the government’s policy to promote power generation, especiallygreen energy from independent power producers.
